Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how RippedMeOff handles information provided through its launch email signup form and contact address. It covers what we collect, why we collect it, how long signup records remain stored, and the choices available to you.

Email signup information

RippedMeOff invites readers to join its list for useful consumer guides, company-practice explainers, and practical next steps. The signup form asks for your email address and requires you to check a box agreeing to receive email updates from RippedMeOff.

When you sign up, the website stores your email address in its WordPress database. The signup record also includes a duplicate-check value based on a standardized version of your address, the signup time, the page path where you signed up, the consent wording you accepted, and a collection status. The stored page path does not include query strings or page fragments.

The form uses basic anti-spam checks and short-lived, hashed network identifiers to limit repeated submissions. These help the form identify rapid repeat activity without keeping the network identifier in its original form.

How signup records are used and stored

At launch, the signup service collects addresses for future RippedMeOff publication updates. Newsletter sending, confirmation messages, and delivery features are not part of the current setup. We will update this policy when those features are configured.

Authorized WordPress administrators can view and export signup records and remove individual entries. Signup records remain in the WordPress database until an administrator removes them or processes an erasure request.

When you send us a message

If you email contact@rippedmeoff.com, your message provides your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you choose to include. We use that information to review and handle your request. Please include only the material needed to explain what you need.

Accessing or removing your signup record

WordPress personal-data export and erasure tools include email signup records. To ask about signup information associated with you, request a copy, or request removal, email contact@rippedmeoff.com. Identify the email address used for signup so we can locate the relevant record.

Your choices and other websites

Joining the email list is your choice. If you later want your stored signup record removed, use the contact route above.

RippedMeOff articles may link to other websites. Those websites have their own privacy practices, so review their privacy information when you visit them or provide information to them.
